Me + Nic On An iBook

(no subject)

Hi,

Well, the proof-reading at work is over (for now) and that makes me feel a whole lot better. Constantly looking between teeny tiny print in a shiny brochure and a computer screen is enough to give anyone a head-ache :-s

I've got that "I'm back from holiday and now everything seems dull" syndrome at the moment, all I've done is go to work and I haven't done anything exciting with my evenings. I want to go to the cinema, or get drunk, or just something! I did watch Buster with Nic last night on DVD, but it's still not the same! Although, Buster was a very good film and there was lots of Phil Collins on the soundtrack which is always ideal.

My doctor also took me off iron last week - and bloody hell I didn't realise how dependent I was on it! I just feel really tired, and grotty, and I'm short of breath a lot at the moment. I also have bags under my eyes, and that's not a good look for anyone. I think Nic is just as tired as me (being a Postman and getting up at 4am every day) so we just seem to be turning in to a very boring, falling-asleep-in-front-of-the-tv couple. I do hope that changed - I'm not old enough to be like that yet! But I suppose it is good having a companion who is coming down with me.

BAIIII,

I HATE PROOF-READING

Oh My God.

I'm at work and proof-reading endless brochure pages and comparing them to the website to make sure that's correct as well.

IT IS DOING MY HEAD IN.

I wish I had pancakes :-(

Back From St Malo!!

Just got back from my St Malo trip! We had an absoultely fantastic time - I was hoping to post some photos on here for you all to see, but I'm an LJ retard and have failed!! Maybe next time.

It didn't look like too promising a start when Nic forgot to pick me up so we could go to the ferry port! But, his mum saved the day and dropped us to the port just in time. We had some yummy cocktails on board, complete with marzipan apple!

It was very, VERY cold when we first arrived. We dumped our stuff at the hotel and routed through our luggage to find as many warm things as we could and layered up. NOT the weather I was expecting :-( But it did prove decidedly good weather to go strolling down on the beach - the air was really fresh and I think the cold somehow made it more enjoyable!

The next day THE WEATHER IMPROVED MASSIVELY and we went on a long stroll down the entire length of the resort - I think we walked about 6 miles! But on our way we met our good friend Monsieur Chat, a charming local kitty.

AND WE FOUND A DEAD JELLYFISH. I nearly stepped on it, then we stood and looked at it for aaaaages. I poked it with my toe and it was really squishy.

Walking back through the town I found what I think is the best invention ever. It's a condom machine outside a chemist!! In case of an out-of-hours emergency. Only on the continent, ay?

Back in the town we decided to take a ride on what I would call a "Dotto Train", basically one of those little seaside ride along ones. It took us on a tour showing us all the main sites of the history of St Malo. After the tour we went for a stroll around to look at some of the places in more detail. This train pleased me very much.

On our last full day we went to AN AQUARIUM. Anyone who knows me will know about my massive, unprecedented fish phobia, so I was more than a little apprehensive about going in. I had only two panic attacks (niiiiiiice) about a Moray Eel and an Ocutpus. But then I fell in love with a turtle in a big like 360 degree tank. After going on a mysterious Submarine Ride we went to the gift shop. Little to my knowledge Nicholas bought me my very own turtle! I named him Pierre.

We also went to castle / museumy thing. All the exhibits in the museum were labelled in French, and with neither of us being particularly good French speakers this was rather challenging. After a while we just looked at stuff, then went up on to the castle. IT WAS FUCKING HIGH. I nearly shat myself :-)

I had a throroughly fantastic time and I can't wait for my next holiday! That was mine and Nic's first holiday with JUST US and it went sooooooo well! I love him so much :-)

CIAO... or should I say Au Revoir?

I'M NOT DEAD

Hellooooooooo,

Lost in 2006

The last post I left was back in 2006 sometime which declared "I just lost all my coursework and I'm going to kill myself!" .... So really, I just wanted to let you all know that I didn't! I'm sure you all know that anyway, as you've seen me since!

In the end by some miracle I managed to get all my Travel + Toursim coursework back, thanks to Leah + Rob, I seem to remember. BUT I STILL ENDED UP WITH A BLOODY D BECAUSE MY TEACHER WAS STUPID. She didn't understand the coursework syllabus and made us do all the wrong work. At least she got fired :-)

Since then I finished college with 3 A-Levels (English Lang Lit, Geography + Sociology - B,B + C) and 2 AS-Levels (Media + Travel - C + D) - I started full time work at the Spinnaker Tower, got diagnosed with Arthritis, had to quit, spent a month off and started as Holiday Admin Assistant at Brittany Ferries in January.

AND THE BEST BIT OF ALL? In March 2006 I started going out with Nicholas, who is absolutely fantastic. I love him lots and he makes me just so incredibly happy. He's been my rock over the last year and I am so lucky to have someone like him. We've been together for a year and a half now! Who would expect that from commitment-phobe Jen?

My Life 2007

Well, last night I went to the Halo 3 midnight opening at Gamestation with Nic and his friend Mark, as they both had pre-orders. I went along because I wanted to see all the nerds there, and I wans't disappointed! They were all SO FUCKING NERDY, haha it was hilarous. But I guess it makes me nerdy for going :-S

Anyway so all these nerds were like wanking over it outside when we left, so we basically ran back to the car, dropped Mark off and went back to Nic's. And then Nic spent like 7 years playing it. It was surprisingly interesting to watch, but then it was 3am and I kind of fell asleep. I think Nic must have gone to sleep at some point, but then when I woke up again he was playing it so I can't be sure...

But he did take me down to the post office to collect Mum's parcel, which I forgot to do yesterday despite being reminded about a thousand times. AND THEN I CAME HOME AND THEN I PACKED FOR ST MALO YAY!!! (By the way, I'm gonig on holiday to St Malo tonight - using my freebie crossings from work :-)

I may well go on a bike ride in a bit as I'm in the mood for exercising. Lord knows why.

CIAO,
Jen

Well. WELL. Oh I don't know. I am trying relly hard to remeber that "know" has a silent "k" at the beginning, but it's relly hard! I can't cope!

I GOT AN A! I NEEVER EVER GET As! I was so so thrilled I nerly cried in the middle of my Jumglish lesson. Yes kids, JUM GAVE ME AN A! For my letter about Fair Trade! He thinks I should send it to The News! Here is his reply, it just relly amused me, so I felt I would share it with y'all:

"This is relly very good. You have produced a first rate text, packed with effective rhetorical devices. I think you should send this to The News in the last week of Februry!"

Jim NEVER compliments! I just about died of shock! Normally my work gets "D" and "What were you thinking?" written on it. I am so chufty badge!

Got called in to work last night, didn't relly it, wanted to go out, so Kimmy and Tom came to meet me again and we all sat at work and had a nice old chin wag.

I Seem To Have Missed A Day....

Well, I completey bi-passed Wednesday as an event, and as I can't remeber what happened I suppose it just wasn't that a great a day to document.... hmm....

OH I DO REMEBER SOMTHING! I did a Rosemary Conley "Salsacise" video! (Well, it was DVD, but it jsut doesn't sound as cool when you call it a "Salsacise" DVD.)It was wicked, but it did prove that I have absolutely no sense of rhythm.

Todsy was not especially thrilling... I had English, and I GOT A C ON MY OTHELLO ESSAY :) :O :) :O
I was so proud of myself! I think I deserve a sticker or somthing. I was so proud of that essay!

I just had some Ribena Light berry blast squash kind of idea and it was rather enjoyable. It didn't taste like puke, so I was quite thrilled. I would recommend it kids, I am now left feeling very refreshed, but now I may well be forced to have a hot chocolate as IT IS SO GOD DAMN CHILLO IN THIS HOUSE. I swear somone's disconnected the heating! Wait, the radiators on... now that's curious. I guess it's just freezing then. No worries.

KEEP ROCKIN CHICKIES! Jen x x x

Tuesday's Meal Day

I had a delightful day today - first of all I got to choose the coursework title I wanted for my geography. My teacher wanted me to do my essay on Malaria "because it was intresting". To be quite frank, I found it much more disturbing than interesting. BUT NOW I'M DOING THE GEOGRAPHY OF SPORT AND LEISURE.... SO THRILLED!!!

Then I went round Ali's, for a reason I can no longer remeber but somehow I ended up going out for a meal at the Thatched House with her, Steve, Phil and Scott. I ate a lot and feel a wee bit queasy, but it was worth it cos it was so so funny and I nearly died (of laughter).

I am currently wearing Seed's Converses, for come reason I can't begin to imagine (I think I need to pay more attention in my life) but they are too big. It makes me sad. And they don't match my outfit cos I'm wearing green and they are pink.

Alas, poor Yorrick... I think thta's kinda creepy, Hamlet was talking to his dead chums skull when he said that. I learnt that today and all. I also drew a picture of a Greek lady with no arms and babies coming out of her liver. English was so oldskool today.

STAY HARDCORE X X X

I'm A Special K Failure

Well, most important news of the day is pretty much summed up in my subject title - I am a failure at the Special K diet. I would not recommend it to anyone. I normally have pretty good willpower when it comes to counting calories and shit, but this diet fucks you up man. The idea is two bowls of Special K for two meals a day. I did this just so, but it just made me crave sugar and fatty foods. So I ate lots and threw up. Therefore, for your own safety -

DO NOT TRY THE SPECIAL K DIET.

Just so you sll know kids, it's for your own good.

Just Another Sunday

How the crumb can I change my font on this thing? I hate Times with a passion! It's just so formal and irritating!

Anywho, today.... was quite dire. I slept in Leah's bed last night (as she wasn't using it) just cos I fancied it. It's rather cosier than my own crappy single idea. I had a nice old sleep, but had to get up at stupid o'clock for work - which is seven am, not that stupid but kinda annoying cos I normally start at three on Sundays....

And I had a fantabulous time with the Kat, she is just so funny it's unbelivable. She made coping with stoopid Alison so much better. We got to go in and play for ages! I was lovin' it, especially when we got sent home an hour early cos there was nothing to do! SCORE!

I  think I may be going to old Port Solent in a piece, just for an idea. Me, mumski, daddles and nana. FUN. Anywho, best be orf x x x

Day One Of The LJ Challenge

Grunt! I have had a lovely day today, up to a point, except I hate the new lass at work. She's relly quite sweet and eager, but in a whiney and irritating kind of way. I jsut want to put my head through a wall whenever I have to speak to her - and that was after only two hours working together!

I am ever so jealous of my friends Kimmy and Tom, who are a couple. I WANT TO BE IN A COUPLE. Being single is fun, but I'm getting fed up of being the third wheel all the time. It's got to be nice just for a bit of secruity. I'm ok at getting so far with a relationship, but when it gets to intense and serious I tend to run away screaming.

*hits somone round the head with a brick*

I Did It!

Wow, in the words of Huggies; "I'm a big kid now!" I have my own LJ! Now I've got this far I'm not sure what to do next.... just confess my entire life over the internet?

Well, what has happened to me today? I went down town on the good old number 21 bus to go and collect my parcel from the Post Office cos I wasn't in when it was delivered. IT WAS MY BATMAN HOODIE! *joygasms* I love it lots and lots and lots!

Then I bought some Special K, and some milk so I can start the Special K "Drop A Jeans Size" idea, which seems like a bit of a giggle.

And now I have just realised that this has taken me so long I may just be late for work. Alas, the Wacky Warehouse will fall apart without me! I must dash then, don't want to be feeling guilty about any chaos now.

Ciao kids x x x
